The Burlesque Bar we all knew and loved may have shut its doors, however all your Burlesque Bar favourites and plenty of new special guests can be found aboard the Burlesque Showboat cruising from Docklands, Melbourne with regular Burlesque events once or twice a month!
What Happened to Burlesque Bar?
On 23rd November, 2013 Melbourne's beloved Burlesque Bar closed its doors for good.
Burlesque Bar was Australia's home of Burlesque, comedy, satire, cabaret, circus and all things tease! An intimate space where individuality was celebrated, inhibitions crushed and the hysteria and mystery combined to create a truly unique experience, every. single. time.
Thank-you to each and every person who frequented Burlesque Bar over the years and helped us to create our little burlesque piece of paradise, which we will cherish and remember for years to come.
BUT NEVER FEAR!
While the venue may have changed hands, the spirit lives on!
Burlesque Bar owner Lolly "Liquor Lollipop" and Performer/Producer Poppy Cherry have joined forces to bring you the Melbourne Burlesque Entertainment Group.
In addition to the ongoing Burlesque Showboat Cruises on board the Lady Cutler, In February 2014 we unveiled Burlesque and Pinup Parlour - Maison Burlesque in Richmond - a home for deluxe hens parties, private functions, burlesque and vintage themed classes, pinup/glamour photography and more!
